Who do we work with?
Our salary negotiation coaching is designed for mid-level and senior career professionals, including individual contributors, people managers, directors, VPs, and executives. We work with professionals who have at least 1–2 years of experience and are earning $130,000 or more per year.
Who do we not work with?
We don’t provide coaching for new grads, interns, contractors, or hourly-based roles. For those roles, we recommend learning our negotiation strategies through our Salary Negotiation Courses.
Why a fixed fee for your coaching?
We use a fixed-fee pricing model to give you a clearer and more predictable experience. You pay one flat coaching fee that includes all strategy development, communication drafting, guidance, and support throughout the negotiation.
This allows us to focus entirely on maximizing your compensation without the complexity of percentage-based billing. You’ll always know your full cost upfront and your coaching isn’t limited by hours, sessions, or back-and-forth communication – we support you through the entire negotiation until the final offer is complete.
We also offer a $10,000 increase guarantee, meaning that if your first year’s total compensation doesn’t increase by at least $10,000, you may be eligible for a refund of your coaching fee. This gives you the peace of mind and ROI assurance of performance-based pricing, while keeping your costs simple and predictable.
What do I get when I work with a salary negotiation coach?
After you pay for our coaching services, you’ll be provided with a booking link to schedule an intro call with Brandon to discuss your situation and kick things off. If you already have your job offer, you’ll share those offer details with Brandon and he’ll conduct an initial review to start crafting the negotiation strategy. Brandon will then provide the suggested next steps and you’ll discuss any questions before kicking off any communication with the recruiting team.
Throughout the salary negotiation, there are no limits on emails or calls with your coach. Your coach will guide you through the process, drafting all communication with the recruiting team and coaching you on what to say during any calls to ensure you stay confident and avoid missteps.
When should I connect with you?
We recommend connecting with us as early as possible. Salary negotiations can begin as early as the first recruiter phone screen, so being prepared to handle compensation-related questions from the start will set you up for success later in the process.
How long do the negotiations typically take?
On average, most salary negotiations take 3–5 days from the time you receive an offer to when the negotiation is complete. However, the exact timeline can vary based on the recruiter’s responsiveness and their compensation team’s internal approval process.
Our goal is to move through the negotiation efficiently, showing that you’re eager to move forward while still maintaining leverage and avoiding any appearance of desperation. It’s a balancing act and we’ll work through the timing together throughout the negotiation process.
What if I only have one offer?
It's a common misconception that you need multiple job offers to successfully negotiate. We've consistently helped clients negotiate better offers even when they have only one. While competing offers can sometimes be useful, we’ll assess your unique situation and propose a range of strategies to build leverage for your negotiation.
Will you help negotiate multiple offers?
Yes, we can help you negotiate multiple offers at the same time. Your fixed coaching fee covers the option to negotiate any offers you receive during your engagement. If you receive additional offers within one month of kicking off the coaching engagement, we’ll include negotiation support for those offers at no extra cost if you decide to pursue them.
That said, we typically recommend only negotiating offers you’re seriously considering since each negotiation requires meaningful time and effort from the company’s hiring team.
How does your offer increase guarantee work?
We’re so confident in our approach that we offer a pricing guarantee: if we don’t help you secure at least a $10,000 increase in your first year’s total compensation, we’ll refund your coaching fee. Our clients typically earn far more than this increase, but the guarantee ensures you get a strong ROI from working with us.
To keep the guaranteed increase policy fair for our coaching, it does not apply in the following situations:
- New-grad offers or contract/intern-to-full-time roles
- Compensation below $130,000 per year
- Roles with Government agencies
- Negotiations already started before enrolling in coaching (including sharing expectations or discussing compensation with the hiring team)
- Deviating from our guidance during the negotiation process
You can review all details in our Terms and Conditions.
How and when do I pay?
Before we begin coaching, you’ll electronically pay via our Booking Page. We use Stripe for invoicing, which offers a variety of payment options. After you pay for our coaching services, you’ll be provided with a booking link to schedule an intro call with Brandon to discuss your situation and kick things off.
